LG V50 ThinQ 5G has second screen to transform it into 'folding' smartphone

From Samsung to Huawei , tech firms around the world have been turning their hands to folding smartphones this year.
In the hopes of keeping up with its rivals, LG has launched its own ‘folding’ smartphone called the LG V50 ThingQ 5G, at Mobile World Congress this week.
While Samsung’s Galaxy X and Huawei’s Mate X both have folding screens, LG’s is made up of two separate screens, which can be folded together.
In a release about the smartphone, LG said: “To take user immersion and convenience to new heights with its first 5G smartphone, LG developed Dual Screen as an optional accessory for the LG V50ThinQ 5G.”
The second screen is designed to resemble a cover case, giving users a second 6.2-inch OLED display, which LG sees being used for gaming and multitasking.
Once clipped together, the two screens can be used independently. For example, you could stream a YouTube video on one screen, and message your friends on WhatsApp on the other.
Both screens run off the same battery. While this does mean there’s no need to charge them separately, I question what this will do for the smartphone’s battery life 
Aside from the folding element, the V50 ThinQ 5G has several other exciting features.

As the name suggests, the smartphone has 5G capabilities, delivering up to 20 times the speed of 4G.
The smartphone features a 6.4-inch OLED FullVision Display, which LG says offers a ‘heightened sense of immersion.’
The back of the device has a triple lens camera, with a 16MP Super Wide lens, 12MP Standard lens and 12MP Telephoto lens.
Meanwhile, the front of the smartphone features a dual-lens camera with an 8MP Standard lens and 5MP Wide lens.
In terms of sound, the smartphone features DTS:X technology, which delivers HD audio, as well as premium Bluetooth audio quality for those listening to their music via wireless headphones
