Wife horrified after husband begs her to get botox - as her smile 'f***s him up'

A woman has revealed the one question that destroyed her marriage after just six months and it's all to do with It's no secret that as we get older, our appearance changes.

But most people don't start worrying about wrinkles or stocking up on anti-aging cream for a very long time.

However one woman has been forced to think long and hard about the fine lines that may, or may not, be creeping onto her face, and it's all thanks to her new husband.

The unnamed wife revealed that her 27-year-old husband has recently been "in tears" over her appearance and even asked her to consider getting botox.

Understandably, she's been pretty hurt by the whole thing - especially considering she's only 31-years-old.

In a post on Reddit , she revealed all.

The woman wrote: "My husband and I have been married for less than six months. We dated for five years before getting married.

"A little after Xmas he started acting really distant, telling me that something was bothering him but he didn't want to tell me yet."

As they were in the middle of a move, and he'd just started a new job, the woman wrote it off as stress and thought nothing more of it.

Until his weird mood returned.

"Fed up with this grey cloud ominously hanging over our marriage, I begged him to tell me what was wrong... mind you, only after he woke me up in the middle of the night in tears.

"Very seriously and solemnly he looked in my eyes and quietly asked 'Would you consider getting botox?"

The woman says she was "stunned" by his question and felt "hurt".

"I tried to brush it off, but it was the way in which he said it," she continued. "Not jokingly or off the cuff. No, this was something that had been eating at him for weeks."

Eventually the husband brought the topic of botox up once again, and this time his wife decided to get to the bottom of the issue.

"I asked him, what is it specifically that bothers you so much, he said - and I quote - 'It f***s me up to see you smile or laugh'."

The wife claims she went "numb" when he said this, before telling him a moment later that they should get a divorce.

"I told him that when I look at him, I see perfection. And why don't I deserve the same? I love him and I know he loves me. Are we perfect? No. But I don't believe I'm anywhere near ugly enough to warrant my husband crying nightly because he feels 'f***ed up' when he looks at me.

"If at 31 he already thinks of me as this old woman, how are we supposed to have children together? How am I ever supposed to feel attractive again?"
